The Tripoli International Fair is considered one of the most significant exhibitions in the Arab region and the African continent. Its establishment stems from Libya\u2019s historical importance as one of the major centers of ancient trade. The origins trace back to when the Phoenicians used Libya\u2019s ports as key hubs for export and import activities in the 7th century BC. Libya was also among the earliest countries to participate in international exhibitions.

      The idea of establishing the Tripoli International Fair <\/h3>\n

      first emerged in 1926, and its inaugural edition was launched in 1927 at Maidan Al-Ghazala in the capital, Tripoli. The fair showcased products from various Libyan cities, including agricultural goods, traditional crafts, and diverse cultural expressions, in addition to promoting hotels and facilities<\/span><\/p>\n

      In 1929, the third edition of the fair was held, and it continued annually up to the thirteenth edition. However, the event came to a halt in 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II. The fair later resumed its activities in 1962<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

      The Tripoli International Fair joined the International Exhibitions Association in 1929, becoming the first Arab exhibition to be accepted as a member of this international organization. It also played an important role as a founding member of the Arab Union for Exhibitions and Conferences in 1995.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
